Littlest Star Artist Resources (LSAR), a division of Whiting Publicity & Promotions, was founded in 2001 to give artists the information and support they need to take their next career step. LSAR is headed by Chuck Whiting, an award-winning publicist, journalist and songwriter who has worked in the Nashville area since 1985. Littlest Stars who have been spotlighted by LSAR include Brenda Freed of Texas Hot Flash and budding 13-year-old artist Katie Kendall.

Chuck Whiting holds a bachelor's degree in music from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and master's and bachelor's degrees in communication from the University of Alabama. He moved to Nashville in 1985 to oversee publicity for the Opryland Hotel. In 1993, he founded Whiting Publicity & Promotions on Nashville's Music Row. During his career, he has won awards in both communication and songwriting. He has provided publicity and other services to businesses and professionals such as the Songwriters Guild of America, Career Imaging Inc., the Tutwiler - A Wyndham Historic Hotel, Union Station - A Wyndham Historic Hotel, Magna Hospitality, author Candy Paull, authors/restaurant critics The Saucy Sisters, Hanging Around Eclectic Arts & Framing, The Melvin Sloan Dancers (of the Grand Ole Opry), artist Wendy Manley, artist Katie Kendall, and many others. He is the former music education board member for the Nashville Entertainment Association. He is a member of the Country Music Association (Sterling member), the Songwriters Guild of America, the Nashville Songwriters Association International, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, ASCAP (as a music publisher), and BMI (as a music publisher).
